[Article Publication] A paper on the Ryugu asteroid particle involving Associate Prof. Miyahara, JAMSTEC/Kochi Core Senior Scientist Tomioka (Visiting Prof. at Hiroshima University), and Prof. Yabuta was published in Nature Astronomy.

This paper reports on nitrided iron minerals found in the Ryugu grains. This discovery suggests that nitrogen compounds may have been transported into the solar system near Earth to provide material for life (Published paper url). We have a press release on the results of this research.
